Legacy Remodeling Brings a Virtual Remodeling Experience to Homeowners in Quarantine

PITTSBURGH, March 23, 2020 – Pittsburgh homeowners who are trapped inside due to coronavirus can now tackle their remodeling projects from the safety of their computer screens. Dormont-based Legacy Remodeling is bringing home improvement into the digital age with the introduction of its virtual quote and sales process.

Coronavirus concerns have prompted Legacy Remodeling to shake the industry standard of in-home sales consultations and develop a process in which customers can go from estimate to signing the paperwork without ever having to meet in person. The quarantine-friendly process includes a virtual meeting, obtaining measurements using digital technology, providing an electronic estimate for the project, developing digital renderings, and handling all paperwork electronically.

"It’s important to be able to find ways to safely continue working for both our clients and employees during these challenging times,” said Legacy Remodeling President Jeff Moeslein. “By leveraging technology, we are able to continue to serve the community without putting anyone at risk.”

Legacy’s replacement window, door, siding, and metal roofing projects can all be handled using the virtual process, while kitchen and bath remodels would require an on-site visit. The company is also still meeting any clients in person who desire an in-home estimate.

Founded in 1987 as Swing Line Windows, Legacy Remodeling has helped more than 30,000 customers in the Western Pennsylvania area improve their homes. Named one of the top 50 remodelers in the nation by Remodeling Magazine, Legacy is also a previous recipient of the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.
