Summerlea siding job
We had a very positive experience w/ Legacy on this project. It was very complicated given its visually interesting bays, overhangs and projections, especially given that the 100-year old house didn't have one straight edge after all these years. And when unanticipated hidden conditions were revealed, Legacy was undeterred and fair w/ their proposal to correct the problems. They were very efficient as they incorporated the additional work into the schedule. The finished product is outstanding, especially given the complexity of the siding detailing. I offer a special shout-out to project manager, Alan Levine, for being conscientious, fair and honest in all his communication. He was an actual pleasure to work with; interesting and humorous, as well as being cooperative and punctual. We are very pleased w/ Legacy and look forward to working w/ them in the future.
Hardi Siding installation
Legacy remodeling did a great job installing the Hardi siding I selected. I shopped different installers "supposedly recommended 100% from Hardi", but they missed appointments, tried to push a vinyl siding alternative, wouldn't break down costs, and told me it was a complex installation. Legacy did a great job keeping me informed, they were on time, and met all my needs. I'm glad I used them.

New Windows And Door
We closed in an existing brick back porch with 11 casement windows and a new entrance door. They worked hard to provide the best design and price. John was great to work with. They made the whole process easy from ordering to installation. There installer was professional, and quick. Our whole job only took two days. They were pleasant, great to work with, cleaned up after themselves. I agonized unnecessarily over the project. Legacy made it easy start to finish. We are extremely happy with our new room.
Highly professional every step of the way
This was my best experience with a contractor in Pittsburgh to date. Everyone from Legacy I interacted with was always professional, and importantly, ALWAYS on time. They did a beautiful job opening up some walled-up leaded glass windows in my dining room, installing high-quality storm windows outside, and re-framing and adding new trim as needed inside. The seal is perfect, with no hint of cold air even as we get into winter weather, and the trim work is lovely. Importantly, they were incredibly careful throughout the work to minimize disruption or mess to the rest of the house. The quote was slightly higher than a competitor, but I'm so pleased I went with Legacy--I think the final result was totally worth it.
Sliding glass door
Had a sliding glass/ patio door installed. The ordering process was easy. There was a bit of a wait for the door from the factory and our install date was bumped a few times due to weather (no fault of legacy). But the installer was extremely nice and professional. The finished product looks great and is functioning very well. I would use Legacy again in the future without hesitations

Beautiful Job
I was a bit unsure about selecting Legacy for our custom window installation. Of the several bids I solicited, theirs was the lowest, and less than half of one of my other bids. Our salesman Kurt, however, assured me that they could fit my antique leaded-glass sashes right into new window frames, match the color of their wood sash frames on the new windows below them, add storms and exactly recreate the interior custom woodwork--and he was right. The installation took a day longer than originally estimated, but Jeff, our installer, called to confirm his arrival time each day, and again if he was delayed. He was exacting in his work to assure the finished product was precisely as I had envisioned. From both the inside and outside of the house no one would ever know that the windows were not original to the home. I truly didn’t believe I would be so happy with the finished product. I am planning to have Legacy replace two kitchen windows next!
